I recently decided to take up the exercise known as 'Nordic walking' which uses trekking poles. I did a lot of research before purchasing the Trail Buddys. I looked at low to high priced poles 19.99 - 89.99. Price wasn't the only factor in ultimately selecting the Trail Buddys. I did consider reviews, tips included, type of grips, warranty etc. I am VERY happy with these poles. The cork grips are comfortable, the mechanisms for shortening/lengthening are very well made and easy to use, a good variety of tips although I'll only be using the rubber tips for Nordic walking. I really like how lightweight they are, so easy to manipulate while walking. But one of the very best things I love about these poles is the customer service from this family-owned business. They contacted me within a couple of weeks after the purchase to see if I was enjoying the poles and to ask if I had had any problems, or had questions. I was really wowed by the personal touch, don't get enough of that these days. I've been using the poles for around 6 weeks now, couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.
I did a lot of research before purchasing these. I didn’t want to spend a ton of money since I don’t hike everyday or for days on end, but wanted a quality set of trekking poles. I mainly day hike with a photography backpack so needed something collapsible with a quick set up and most importantly sturdy and lightweight. These fit the need perfectly and one of the best perks is that I had a color choice! I got the red ones and am super happy with my purchase. I would recommend these to anyone looking for trekking poles that give you the best bang for your buck!
If it is possible to fall in love with an inanimate object then that is what has happened with me and my trekking poles. I am using them to assist recuperating from hip surgery. I also have a torn meniscus in my knee. I am utterly astonished at my progress due to using my trekking poles. I am able to walk farther and faster than before J began using the poles. Plus my upper body strength has increased immensely. The poles also help me walk taller so that eases any back pain. I come home from my walk free of pain and this is exceptional! My husband has Parkinson’s and his therapist suggested he use a trekking pole as opposed to a cane. He walks straight when using it . We keep one in the car and one in the house for taking walks outside. The quick flip locks and the cork handle are terrific additions.The flip locks are so much easier to adjust the height as opposed to the twist adjustable on his last pole. A great sturdy product!
I finally got to use these bad boys today. They did not once push in ( and I purposely tried to make them). The key is to follow the directions that come with them. The strap around the wrist was very comfortable and the cork handles were great. I would highly recommend these!
